AI assistant privacy
The in-app AI assistant (Browserless AI) is powered by Kapa.ai and grounded in the Browserless documentation. This page explains how your conversations are handled.
Security and certification
- SOC 2 Type II — Kapa.ai holds a current SOC 2 Type II certification. Details are available at Kapa security.
- Infrastructure — Kapa runs on ISO 27001-certified cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit.
LLM providers
The assistant uses large-language-model providers (Cohere, OpenAI, Voyage, Anthropic) to generate answers. All providers operate under data-processing agreements that prohibit training on your conversations.
Data retention
Your questions and the assistant's answers are retained to operate and improve the service (e.g., answer-quality analytics). If you need your data deleted, contact security@browserless.io.
What you should not share
The assistant cannot detect or redact sensitive information on your behalf. Do not paste:
- API tokens or passwords
- Session cookies or auth headers
- Customer PII (emails, names, payment info)
Use placeholders (e.g., YOUR_API_TOKEN) when asking questions that involve credentials.
Governing policies
Conversations with the AI assistant are governed by the Browserless Privacy Policy. For data-handling questions not covered here, reach out to security@browserless.io.
